Here Are The Top Ten Best-Selling Nintendo Switch Games As Of June 2020 – Nintendo Life

Earlier today, we reported that Animal Crossing: New Horizons has sold an absolutely staggering 22 million copies in just over three months. That’s all well and good, but how does that compare to Nintendo’s other major Switch releases?

As part of its three-months earnings release, Nintendo has updated its official sales figures for Switch’s best-sellers. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still number one, but its previously giant lead has been significantly reduced thanks to Animal Crossing, which is now already the second-best-selling Switch game of all time.

Top Ten Best-Selling Nintendo Switch Games (as of 30th June 2020):

  1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 26.74 million
  2. Animal Crossing: New Horizons – 22.40 million
  3. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 19.99 million
  4. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 18.60 million
  5. Pokémon Sword and Shield – 18.22 million
  6. Super Mario Odyssey – 18.06 million
  7. Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! / Let’s Go, Eevee! – 12.20 million
  8. Super Mario Party – 10.94 million
  9. Splatoon 2 – 10.71 million
  10. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe – 7.44 million

The numbers above are worldwide sales and include retail, digital, and copies bundled with hardware all combined. Nintendo has also revealed that Switch hardware lifetime sales have now reached more than 61 million units, equalling the NES.

With Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ first official figures now safely in our hands, what better time to provide an updated list of the Switch’s best-selling games?

As part of its fiscal year earnings report, Nintendo has updated its official sales figures for Switch’s biggest games. As you might imagine, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still number one by a pretty comfortable margin, and while Animal Crossing is the only newcomer since the last official update, figures have jumped up significantly across the board.

Top Ten Best-Selling Nintendo Switch Games (as of 31st March 2020):

  1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 24.77 million
  2. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 18.84 million
  3. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 17.41 million
  4. Super Mario Odyssey – 17.41 million
  5. Pokémon Sword and Shield – 17.37 million
  6. Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! / Let’s Go, Eevee! – 11.97 million
  7. Animal Crossing: New Horizons – 11.77 million
  8. Splatoon 2 – 10.13 million
  9. Super Mario Party – 10.10 million
  10. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe – 6.60 million
