Megan Thee Stallion says person who shot her was Tory Lanez – The Associated Press

LOS ANGELES (AP) — More than a month after she was shot in the feet after a party in the Hollywood Hills, Megan Thee Stallion said for the first time Thursday night that fellow hip-hop star Tory Lanez was the person who pulled the trigger.

“Yes … Tory shot me. You shot me and you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs lying,” the 25-year-old rapper, whose legal name is Megan Pete, said in an Instagram Live video. “Stop lying. Why lie? I don’t understand.”

Representatives for Lanez, a 28-year-old rapper and singer whose legal name is Daystar Peterson, did not respond to requests for comment late Thursday night, and have not responded to several previous requests for comment from The Associated Press.

Pete said she did not tell Los Angeles police who came to the scene on July 12 about the shooting because she was afraid of the legal repercussions, and afraid for her safety.

“I didn’t tell the police nothing because I didn’t want us to get in no more trouble,” she says in the video.

Peterson was arrested the morning of the incident on suspicion of possession of a concealed weapon and was released on bail later that day, but has not been charged with anything related to the incident. Police and prosecutors say the case remains under investigation.

Pete, Peterson and others were sharing an SUV after the party in the early hours of July 12. She said in the video that there was an argument between the people in the vehicle, and Peterson shot her when she tried to walk away. She denied rumors that she had hit him in the SUV.

Pete first said publicly that she was shot later that week, and has slowly revealed more in several social media posts since it happened, usually in response to what she said were false stories spreading.

She said from the beginning that she expected to fully recover, but said in subsequent posts that the shooting, which required her to have surgery to have the bullets removed, was “ super scary ” and “the worst experience of my life,” and she felt blessed that the gunfire hit where it did.

She consistently declined to name Peterson until Thursday night, when she also tweeted, “Lie one more time and ima quit sparing you.”

Megan Thee Stallion was already a major hip-hop star after a triumphant year that recently saw her nominated for artist of the year at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards, and in recent days has become part of a huge cultural phenomenon with her guest stint on the Cardi B song “WAP.” The bawdy celebration of women’s sexuality entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 1 this week.

Megan Fox’s estranged husband, Brian Austin Green, voices best wishes while she dates Machine Gun Kelly – Fox News

Actor Brian Austin Green shared that he has no ill will towards his now-estranged wife, Megan Fox, in an interview with the “Hollywood Raw Podcast.”

In the Monday episode, the former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star said that he found out Fox had begun dating rapper Machine Gun Kelly on his own, which didn’t include the press.

“I found out in my own way. And that’s as much detail as I’ll give you on that one. I didn’t read about it or anything like that,” he explained simply.

COURTNEY STODDEN SPEAKS OUT ABOUT BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN DATING RUMORS: HE ‘WANTED ME TO REMAIN HIS LITTLE SECRET’

Green and Fox were married in a private ceremony on June 24, 2010, and on May 18 of this year, the 46-year-old actor confirmed he and his wife separated in a podcast episode of his own on “Context with Brian Austin Green” – which came days after Fox was pictured alongside Machine Gun Kelly.

Two days later, Machine Gun Kelly’s music video “Bloody Valentine” was released and showcased Fox.

However, the pair’s romantic relationship was only seemingly confirmed when the 30-year-old rapper shared a black and white image of himself next to Fox, 34, on Instagram last week with the caption, “waited for eternity to find you again …”

Green, on the other hand, has been making headlines as well as he attempts to move on.

MEGAN FOX, MACHINE GUN KELLY DISH ON INSTANT CONNECTION UPON FIRST MEETING: ‘TWIN FLAME’

“What people normally do when they get out of something, is they date. They talk to multiple people at once. Some people use dating apps, they talk to multiple people, they go on multiple dates, they spend time with people until they feel a connection with somebody and something builds from there,” he said on Monday’s “Hollywood Raw Podcast” podcast in reference to his critics.

“What’s unfortunate for me and the situation is I’ll literally go on one date with somebody – not even a date – just meet somebody and have lunch and all of a sudden it’s written as like ‘oh, his new fling, and oh, he’s playing two women at the same time,’” Green added. “And it’s like no, I literally spent one time with each of these women. I’m not playing anybody. My life is just much more under a microscope than somebody else’s.”

Despite the increased publicity, Green says him and Fox separated amicably.

“I think it’s going as well as it can. There’s no rule book to it. There’s no way of doing it right or doing it wrong,” he shared. “We are learning as we go. The important thing for us is just communicating as much as we can.”

And after spending nearly a decade together, Green reaffirmed that he wants Fox and their three sons to be happy.

“No one wants to be around somebody that’s unhappy, nothing good comes out of that. We are taking it day by day,” he said. This is insane, this happened at an unfortunate time that nobody could have predicted with quarantine and the virus and all of that. The news cycle is a bit bigger than we were prepared for.”

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are going back to work on the Puerto Rican movie set where they first met … and set in motion her split from Brian Austin Green.

Megan and MGK arrived Thursday in San Juan after flying in together from the mainland, ready to get back to business on the set of their upcoming movie, “Midnight in the Switchgrass.”

As you can see, Megan and MGK are still super close and lovey-dovey as their relationship continues to bud … and now they’re back where it all began.

They met during filming, way back in March, and then started spending a whole lotta time together when the coronavirus pandemic brought production to a grinding halt.

Megan split from her ‘90210’ star hubby after getting chummy with MGK on the Caribbean island and they’ve been pretty much inseparable ever since … going on fancy dates, making music videos, traveling the country, sleeping over and having fun in Palm Springs.

MGK and Megan are putting a 2020 twist on the old adage … couples who work together, play together and quarantine together, apparently stay together.

“I trust her judgment, she’s always had really good judgment,” the actor said. “I don’t want people to think that her [sic] or he are villains or I was a victim in any way with any of this because I wasn’t. This isn’t something new for us. This is something new for people to experience and hear about in the press.”
