Barr teases Friday ‘development’ in Durham probe, says investigation won’t be ‘dictated to’ by election – Fox News

There will be “a development” Friday in Connecticut U.S. Attorney John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the Russia investigation, Attorney General William Barr told Fox News’ Sean Hannity in an exclusive interview Thursday.

Barr said that the development would not be “earth-shattering,” but would be “an indication that things are moving along at the proper pace as dictated by the facts in this investigation.”

“There are two different things going on, Sean,” Barr said. “I said the American people need to know what actually happened, we need to get the story of what happened in 2016 and ’17 out. That will be done.

TRUMP LAYS DOWN GAUNTLET FOR BARR ON DURHAM PROBE

“The second aspect of this is, if people crossed the line, if people involved in that activity violated criminal law, they will be charged. And John Durham is an independent man, highly experienced, and his investigation is pursuing apace. There was some delay because of COVID, but I’m satisfied with the progress and I’ve said there are going to be developments, significant developments, before the election.

“But we’re not doing this on the election schedule,” Barr added. “We’re aware of the election. We’re not going to do anything inappropriate before the election. But we’re not being dictated to by this schedule.

“What’s dictating the timing of this are developments in the case.”

Google teases Pixel 4a unveil on August 3 with ‘lorem ipsum’ – 9to5Google

While thoroughly leaked, Google has stayed quiet about when to expect its next mid-range phone. That’s changing today with a “lorem ipsum” tease for what is most likely the Pixel 4a.

Made by Google today updated its Facebook and Twitter pages with a new cover image. It features a black hole-punch in the top-left corner that is clearly a nod to the Pixel 4a and its front-facing camera.

In the case of the latter social media presence, it renamed the account to “The Google RTing, Meme Loving, Info Sharing Stream.” There are several Google-colored boxes for words that presumably describe and tease the Pixel 4a.

It links to a new Google Store landing page with an Easter Egg that reveals an August 3rd date. (Tap the boxes until they match the Google logo’s ordering: blue, red, yellow, blue, green, and red.) The text then reads: “The Google Just What You’ve Been Waiting For Phone.” This is clearly a nod to how people have been waiting for this phone since May.

Meanwhile, a phone-shaped object that matches the Pixel 4a is covered in a checkerboard pattern.

The “lorem ipsum” paragraph underneath has several — decidedly — non-Latin words that are actually describing features like the camera, Night Sight low-light capabilities, bokeh, and all-day battery life.

Sony teases a compact vlogging camera with flip-around screen – Engadget

Sony tweeted a tease for a new 4K compact camera arriving May 20th, and rumor has it that it will designed for vlogging. Called the ZV-1, it will be based on Sony’s popular RX100 VII with some key differences, according to a leaked PR and specs seen by Sony Alpha Rumors. While it reportedly packs the same canny eye-tracking autofocus and 20-megapixel 1-inch sensor, it comes with a different 24-70mm f/1.8-2.8 lens, large record button, 3-capsule microphone, fully-articulating display and a grip.

That should make it more video-friendly than the RX100 VII, which has a less bokeh-capable 24-200mm f/2.8 zoom, a pop-up (rather than a vari-angle) display, small record button and none of the accessories. Other possible specs on the ZV-1 include a built-in neutral-density filter that will allow for better bokeh in bright light, a “Soft Skin” effect to smooth wrinkles and a custom face-priority auto-exposure algorithm. It may also have a one-button “product showcase setting” that can automatically shift focus from your face to another object.

Mike Tyson teases return to boxing: ‘I’m back’ – New York Post

May 11, 2020 | 11:28pm

Former-world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson continued to tease boxing fans about a possible return to the ring by posting another training video on Instagram on Monday that ended with the message, “I’m back.”

The 53-year-old caught the attention of the boxing world last week when he posted a short video of a workout that showed he possesses plenty of the punching power and speed that allowed him to become the first heavyweight to hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles.

Tyson said then that he was considering a return to the ring for some exhibition bouts to raise money for charity.

The newest video showed Tyson growling through a workout hitting the pads in yet another display of the ferocious power that made him one of the sport’s most feared punchers.

Since Tyson hinted at a return, challengers have been lining up for a shot at the boxer known as “Iron Mike.”

New Zealand rugby great Sonny Bill Williams, who dabbled in boxing posting a 7-0-0 record, and Australian Paul Gallen, another rugby player with a 9-0-1 record in the ring, have been touted as potential opponents.

A more likely bet, however, would be Evander Holyfield with whom Tyson engaged in several epic bouts during their professional careers.

If Tyson, who retired after a loss to Kevin McBride in 2005, does return to the ring, he will be following in the footsteps of Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao in coming out of retirement for an exhibition fight.

Tyson, who became the youngest heavyweight champion of all time when he defeated Trevor Berbick in 1986 aged 20, won 50 of his 58 professional fights before retiring.
